We invite you to participate in a three-part virtual series with Addictions Counsellor Erin Black from Recovery Alberta who will lead us through best practices for supporting individuals experiencing substance use concerns. Throughout the series, we will explore topics such as understanding addiction, examining our own beliefs and biases, navigating challenges and identifying resources for further support.

Tuesday, Feb. 25: Understanding Addictions
Gain insights into various types of addictions, the impact of stigma, the influence of personal beliefs and biases and the connection between addiction and mental health.
Tuesday, Mar. 11: How to Help
Learn what to do — and what not to do — when working with individuals struggling with substance use, along with strategies for addressing common challenges.
Tuesday, Mar. 25: Resources
Discover local resources available for addiction and mental health support, how these services can assist individuals and how to guide clients to the appropriate resources.
When registering, please note you are signing up for all three; however, you are welcome to attend only your preferred sessions - one, two or three.
